As part of the county merger, Vestland County (hereafter called VLFK) had a number of quays and breakwater installations handed over to it from the Norwegian Coastal Administration: Installations that VLFK now owns and is responsible for maintenance and repairs. VLFK has a mandate that states that installations that have a considerable degree of industry activity will continue to come under VLFK's ownership.
Vestland County intends to enter into framework agreements for the maintenance of fishing ports and breakwaters.
