Research Assignments Concerning Demographic Costs and Changes in health Condition

The population is getting older and life expectancy is increasing. It is desirable to improve understanding of the relationship between ageing, health condition and the need for health and welfare services. The aim of the project is therefore to develop and quantify the relationship between increasing life expectancy and the need for health and welfare services in the future. The assignment includes: 1) Mapping of challenges for different projections of health expenses and literature reviews; 2) Analysis of the relationship between health condition and consumption of respectively health and welfare services and specialist health services. The upper limit for the assignment is NOK 1.5 million excluding VAT. The contracting authority is setting up for the final report to be delivered by the 23 October 2021.
