Framework Agreement for the Procurement of Special Toilets

Customs would like to enter into a framework agreement for special toilets. The smuggling of drugs and other goods hidden in body cavities, so-called internal smuggling, is an ongoing challenge for customs in Norway and internationally. Customs depends on using special toilets developed for the purpose of checking uncovering this type of smuggling. This is so as to ensure safe and appropriate handling during the checks. Typically, drugs are smuggled in this way, but currency or other goods with a high value, such as diamonds, can occur.
