Aerial Survey of Transmission Lines

Aerial survey of transmission lines covering 9 300 route km of transmission lines in Finland. Surveys are carried out in years 2019 and 2020. The documentation of towers, lines, vegetation and surroundings are based on aerial images and Lidar. The survey results consists of orthophotos, inspection images of structures and conductors, general photos of right-of-way and Lidar data classified based on the different objects and land use. Different kind of analyses based on survey data are carried out. The analyses include e.g. analysis of falling trees, analysis of too high trees on right-of-way area, analysis of clearances to different objects on transmission line area and calculation of volumes. The application for viewing survey material and analysing Lidar data is also included in the delivery.
