Ringerike municipality, the IT unit, would like to procure laptop PCs for use in schools for autumn 2015.
Approx. 2 500 000 NOK has been budgetted for the procurement. The actual sum that is procured can deviate somewhat from this. The contract is subject to political approval of the budget and the award of resources. As Ringerike municipality is still a ROBEK municipality (procurements must be approved by the County Governor), planned investment budgets might not take place. The procurement can therefore be cancelled.
PC requirements:
The PCs shall be of good quality and adapted for school use. They ought, therefore, to be well-built and have good monitors. Even though heavy processes shall not be run, the PCs must not be experienced as slow to use.
— Shall have and SSD disk as a storage medium
— Monitor resolution equivalent to or more than 1280 X 720
— OS: Win 8.1 — Downgradeable (must be able to run Windows 7 and Windows 10). NB: We have an EA Education contract with Microsoft
In addition to the actual PCs the municipality would like the following additional equipment:
— Rucksacks (roomy and large PC rucksack with room for more than just a PC).
— Headphones (good headphones, not necessary to have speech).
— Mouse (wireless or cable).
Service and insurance
As a part of the tender we would like a three year extended service contract with insurance. By this we mean that damages to PCs due to accidents (e.g. a pupil drops a PC on the floor), are repaired or replaced without extra cost and within a short period. The exact terms and total price shall be enclosed with the tender and will be a part of the evaluation. There shall be a clear statement as to whether damages that are only of a cosmetic nature (not of functional significance) will be repaired or not.

NB: This procurement requires a digital signature, e.g. in the form of a Bank ID log on. Start the submission process in good time, as data trouble does not qualify for an extended deadline. Tenders must be submitted electronically and paper/physical tenders will be rejected. Any demo material that will be sent must be agreed specifically after the tenders are opened. This competition does not have any negotiations or possibilities to change the tender after it has been submitted. You must therefore submit your best offer in the tender and respond to all the points in as much detail as possible. Shortcomings here can lead to a tender being rejected and therefore not assessed by us.
