An open tender contests regarding a new bus service contract in Grenland with accompanying municipalities.
— Start of the bus service 28.6.2016.
— The contract period is 7 years, with option for a prolongation of 2 years.
— The contract award criterion is lowest price.
— The Grenland bus route area includes driving approx. 4,5 route km with approx. 90-95 buses.
— Euro VI requirements for new buses.
— For a minimum of 50 % of the route km, biogas buses shall be used.
— The service provider has the income and market responsibility for the bus route service.
— The ticket income goes to the service provider.
— An incentive for the service provider to achieve increased passengers, with a bonus for increasing the number of passengers.
— The service provider shall on own account, based on the system found most suitable and competitive, establish or enter into agreements with sub-providers regarding office premises, workshops and maintenance facilities, bus wash facilities, parking areas for the buses, fuel deliveries and associated services, as well as other necessary operation factors.
