The Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training, henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority, invites university colleges and universities, as well as competence environments with relevant competence in natural science to apply for funding to develop and implement supplementary education in natural science. The supplementary education project is initiated the school year 2013/2014. The financial frame is 9 000 000 NOK during a 3 year period. The Awarding Authority aims at entering into agreements regarding development and implementation of supplementary education in Natural science with 2 - 4 tenderers. 1 500 000 NOK have been reserved for development and initiation of the supplementary education for the school year 2013/2014.
Competence environments receiving development funding are obliged to develop and offer supplementary education in accordance with guidelines given in this tender notice. The supplementary education is to be offered from the school year 2013/2014 and shall have high professional quality. The tenderers receiving funding for development and implementation of the education are obliged to offer supplementary education for the school years 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 as well. Contract award is subject to certain geographical dispersion of the offers.
In order to stimulate local/regional solutions, competence environments with high competence in natural science and with established cooperation schemes are encouraged to deliver joint tender.
