Sola municipality has politically decided that the users are free to choose home and community assistive services, and shall therefore enter into a service concession service. Miljøtjenesten (the home and community assistive aid service) provides goal-oriented home and community assistive services to the disabled and/or mentally disabled. Goal-oriented home and community assistive services involve facilitating the situation in such a way that the persons involved can live and function independently and have a meaningful life. The external providers of these services shall be a supplement to the municipal services.
