KDD would like, as part of the follow-up of the election law committee's review, to obtain knowledge of electronic voting. The study will examine electronic voting in both controlled and uncontrolled surroundings. The results will be part of the department's further assessment of electronic voting, and will be an important source of updated knowledge on this form of voting. Obtaining knowledge will give the ministry updated knowledge of electronic voting in controlled and uncontrolled surroundings, and will form a basis for weighing up the options, risks, gains, and costs against each other. Based on the findings, the ministry will assess further follow-up in this field, and in the long term it could be appropriate to carry out a minor trial with some systems. A central part of these assessments will be the security aspect and the vulnerabilities and risks involved with the introduction of new technology.
