Screening Program 2020

This year's screening program is comprised of two lots. Lot 1 concerns additives in plastic while part 2 includes substances newly registered in REACH. Both of the projects include sampling analyses and reporting of the results. Tenderers must design a sampling program in order to identify Miljøverndirektoratets [the Norwegian Environment Agency's] chosen screening substances for 2020. The purpose of the screening program is to early identify new environmental pollutants so that we can regulate the pollutants before they spread out in nature and become and environmental problem. Goal setting with the screening program. Screening studies are intended to map occurrences, supply and environmental consequences of new pollutants in Norwegian and Arctic environments. Screening data will be used to assess the implementation of local, national and international measures. Data will also be used to determine if the studied substances will undergo ongoing monitoring.
