Grorud multi-purpose hall is a combined building that shall be established in the sports park. The project is located close by the existing facility at Grorudparken and Groruddammen (Grorud Park and Grorud Dam). The address is Grorudveien 7. New access shall be established from Rassmusbakken.
The project includes:
— multi-purpose hall 25 m x 45 m with standard handball hall playing surface,
— supporting rooms such as training premises, changing rooms, vestibule, office/meeting room, service functions, stores and technical rooms,
— club premises for Grorud IL and demolition of the existing building,
— nursery school with eight bases (6 departments*), with places for up to 18 children per base,
— parts of the premises shall be for joint use for cultural purposes,
— outdoor areas and activity axis.
