Skyss manages the public transport in Hordaland and signs operational contracts with companies for the operation of the various bus routes in Hordaland.
Skyss will shortly announce a competition for the operation of bus routes in central Bergen and north Bergen, including Osterøy.
Skyss sets minimum requirements for the design of the buses that will be utilised for the route production, but the bus operator is responsible for the purchase and operation of the buses. We want to map the availability of class 1 buses with seatbelts suitable for all user groups including smaller children (over 100cm and 15 kg), the limitations that result from such requirements, as well as the costs related to any such bus requirements. Skyss hopes that bus operators and bus suppliers can provide input and feedback on Skyss’ questions regarding seatbelts for children.
