In relation to toys, there are 2 age groups in operation: children aged from 0-3 and 3-14. Typically, the toys will be tested to see whether they contain small parts that can be swallowed and whether there are seams in the toy that do not comply with the requirements in the standard. There will also be a test on the toy’s flammability, as well as the noise level of, for example, electronic toys. Most of the toys to be tested are toys for the 0-3 age group.
