Avinor took over the operation of Bodø Airport from the Norwegian Defence on 1 August 2016 and contracts were signed with Mesta and Falck for the provision of site services and fire and rescue services respectively (PBR) at Bodø Airport. The current contracts otherwise include several contractual areas of improvement which cannot be changed without the contract being re-announced. A new tender contest is therefore required now so that the operational services can be optimised, says Inger-Hilde Tobiassen, Airport Manager at Bodø.
