The procurement is regarding a marine route survey. Svenska Kraftnät (SvK) and Energinet.dk Danmark (ENDK) are the Transmission System owners and operators of a 400 kV High Voltage AC cable system across the Öresund, between Sweden and Denmark. Due to its age and because of environmental concerns, the cable system will be exchanged. The new cable system will reuse the existing cable corridor. The exact procedure of replacing the old cables with new ones has not yet been decided. The route crosses the northern Öresund, which is a heavily trafficked area. Water depth ranges from seashore to maximum 40 meters of depth. The area is known for a pronounced halocline/thermocline.
