Skyss/Kringom needs to speed up the pace of the planning process in order to meet the expectations from our stakeholders, both internally and externally. We are looking to shorten the gap between the strategic planning process and the detailed planning process (scheduling). It should be a lot easier for a larger part of the planning team to find information on current routes, stops and timetables as well as modifying, tranforming and creating new routes, timetables and stops. It should be easy to gain access to statistics and KPI’s related to the current og future production. Important data sources such as socioeconomic variables, travel demands (movement data) and passenger counts should be an integrated part of the working process. It makes sense to work more visually within a map based setting.
