Eesmärk
The agency for Water and Wastewater Services (VAV) supplies the capital city with drinking water and manages wastewater. This is financed through water and sewage fees. The agency is responsible for the operation, maintenance and renewal of the cityy's treatment facilities, as well as the pipeline network and pump stations for both drinking water and sewage water. The agency also monitors Bekkelaget treatment facility which is privately run, and covers Oslo's share of expenses for the inter-municipal company Vestfjorden Avløpsselskap (VEAS). Other central assignments are the management of water source areas, monitoring the river systems in the city, and guidance and information to customers, subscribers and society in general.
The competition is for the procurement of a project director for the New Water Supply Project in Oslo (NVO).
The project has come about because Oslo Municipality must strengthen its general water supply with better reserve and stand-by water supply, and facilitate for significant population growth in the city in the coming years.
