Aalborg University, Section of Biotechnology seeks to purchase new mass spectrometry instrument(s) to secure a state-of-the-art mass spectrometry facility at the department. The new setup will include MS/MS equipment for quantitative proteomics and protein characterization but also metabolomics applications and MS/MS equipment (MS2) for quantification of small organic compounds in diverse and complex matrixes. The Contracting Authority already has one nanoHPLC (from Dionex) which should be at the front end on the instrument for quantitative proteomics.
Therefore, this purchase includes:
Lot A:
— A mass spectrometry instrument capable of discovery/quantitative proteomics and protein characterization (hereafter refered to as MS1),
— Option for an upgrade of existing Dionex HPLC from nanoHPLC to nanoUPLC (hereafter refered to as LC upgrade),
— Option for a Bioinformatics package capable of labelfree quantification and statistical analysis of large complex Datasets of proteomics and small molecule samples (hereafter refered to as Bioinformatics).
Lot B:
— A mass spectrometry instrument capable of quantification of small organic com-pounds in diverse and complex matrixes (hereafter refered to as MS2).
