Pavadinimas Supply of Screwed and Welded Aluminium Support Structures
Trumpas pirkimo aprašymas CERN intends to place one or several contracts for the manufacturing of RPC Support Structures (from now on “Support Structures” or “Structures”), as defined in this Technical Description and in
accordance with the criteria defined in the Qualification Questionnaire.
The Support Structures are boxes that will contain each a triplet of RPC detectors (each individual RPC detector is called singlet) and their related electronics. These Structures will be installed in Ushaped rails2 and the rail interface will allow the Structures to be moved along the rails for installation and maintenance. These Structures will ensure that the position of the RPC sensitive elements and readout strips is known with a precision of about 1 mm.
These Support structures will also contain pre-bent aluminium plates.
