Statens vegvesen [the Norwegian Public Roads Administration] currently uses eRoom as a common document interaction system. It is a central solution for the agency and is extensively used in the execution of core business in the field of engineering design and implementation of road projects, but also largely in general / administrative projects, often across business, as well as with external parties.
The system is at the end of it’s technical life cycle, and it does not satisfy essential functional needs. Work is now under way to facilitate for the procurement of a new system. A new and improved system shall contribute to streamlining and improvement of processes for document flow in the road projects and in other areas.
The Norwegian Public Roads Administration is a skills workplace and it a goal that the new document interaction system will support a desired culture characterised by sharing of knowledge, dialogue and good cooperation both internally and with external collaborating partners.
