Vehicle Communication Gateway (VCG) for on board installation. The VCG will be the sole communication link between all IT systems on board the vehicle and Ruters back office systems.
Ruters ambitions are to retrofit on-board communication gateway in all vehicles that do not have APC (Automatic Passenger Counting) installed today - approximately 500 buses. In addition to this, all new buses will be fitted with a VCG as part of the overall on board IT systems portfolio - approximately 100-200 buses per year
