Åbo Akademi University intends to purchase an All-in-one Crystallization Set-up for Proteins (ACSP) suitable for easy and robust preparation of crystallization plates of both soluble and membrane proteins. The instrument will be placed in the Biocity building (3rd floor) in Turku within the Structural Bioinformatics Laboratory at the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Biochemistry, Åbo Akademi University.
The Tenderer is requested to submit a tender for a fully operational ACSP system based on, but not restricted to, simple and robust nanoliter-volume liquid handler for setting up crystallization experiments for structural studies. The instrument will mainly be used to crystallize soluble and membrane protein samples with or without a bound small molecule, DNA/RNA or peptide/protein ligands.
The instrument will be installed in the Biocity building, 3rd floor, by the Tender, at Tykistökatu 6 A, FI-20520 Turku, within the Structural Bioinformatics Laboratory, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Biochemistry, Åbo Akademi University.
The physical size and weight should be such that the instrument can be placed on a standard laboratory table. The instrument should be functional at ambient temperature varying from 20°C to 25°C. Excluding maintenance breaks, the ACSP system should be continuously operation ready, throughout the year.
