The surveillance vessel must be a safe and a well suited platform for the required tasks. The main tasks for the vessel will be surveillance functions in the port, as well as escorting larger vessels. The propulsion system must contain the most environmentally friendly solutions that are suitable for the purpose, and must have the highest standards of safety and working environment. The design of the vessel must be modern, and it must reflect the authoritative function it will have in the port. The technical systems, ergonomic designs, design and manoeuvring qualities must be suitable for operation with only 1 person on board, even if it will normally have a crew of 2.
