The Hire, Operation and Maintenance of Day and Night Resting Places for Heavy Transport for E39/RV 15 on the Stretch Nordfjordeid-Kjøs

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration Region West (‘Contracting Authority’) invites tenderers a competition for the establishment, operation and maintenance of day and night resting places for heavy transport along Rv15/E39 on the stretch between Nordfjordeid and Kjøs. The day and night resting places must include service buildings with sanitary facilities. The objective of the procurement: The aim of the procurement is to develop a better offer for heavy transport drivers who must have normal 24 hour rest, reduced weekly rest (maximum 45 hours) and take breaks (45 minutes) that comply with rules and provisions on driving and rest time. These driving and rest rules mean that drivers who drive heavy vehicles must take breaks and sufficient rest so that they can have a normal sleep period.
