In order to plot a clear and more comprehensive policy, the government will prepare a parliamentary report about innovation in the public sector. The objective of the parliamentary report is to develop a national policy for innovation in the public sector that:
a) plot a clear direction for the work with innovation in the public sector that will remain relevant over time;
b) establish good framework terms and facilitate a culture of increased innovation;
c) provide defined tools for managers and employees.
The Ministry of Local Government and Modernisation (KMD) manages the work with the report. We are aiming for an open and involved process, where both municipal and government organisations, policy makers and other parties shall be involved. We also want the report work to function as a catalyst to increase the innovation ability in the public sector.
