Fortum Power and Heat Oy is planning to renew a secondary air preheater to 199 MW (fuel) Power Plant in Joensuu, Finland. Power Plant's BFB boiler is biomass and peat fired. The purpose of the air preheater is to recover the heat from the boiler flue gas which increases the thermal efficiency of the boiler by reducing the useful heat lost in the flue gas. The present secondary air preheater manufactured by By-Cast origin from year 2000 is degraded and corroded.
Delivery will be turn-key delivery. Delivery includes design, manufacture, demolish old one, assembly and commissioning of new air preheater.
In order to receive binding and technically comparable offers, Purchaser requires all prequalified applicants to familiarize project by visiting Joensuu Power Plant and take a look of the air preheater in July 2015, while power plant is stopped for the annual maintenance break.

Preliminary project schedule:
— RfQ to be delivered to prequalified applicants in the end of June 2015
— Prequalified suppliers to visit Power Plant and familiarize to project in July 2015
— Leaving the offers end August 2015
— Contract negotiations September 2015
— Contract signed in October 2015
— Take-over of the delivery August 2016
Investment has no decision of execution yet and the final decision will be made based on profitability calculation on basis of the offers we now receive.
