Avinor AS, henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority, wishes to prequalify relevant suppliers of medium size self propelled rotary snow cutters.
With reservations to approval of proposed budgets, the Awarding Authority shall procure 5 machines to airports in Norway. The machines shall be delivered in the period from 2014 until 2018.
Medium size self propelled rotary snow cutters are an important part of the winter maintenance of runways, taxiways, exits and aprons.
The machine shall be in accordance with the remaining snow clearing procession in such a way that the requirements in relation to close-down times are complied with in speed up to 30 km/h, simultaneously with removal of the string of snow without any spill whatsoever.
The string of snow may comprise snow from approx. 1 cm snow depth equally divided over the entire runway.
Best possible visibility in all directions and during all weather conditions from the driving seat is vital both in relation to safety as well as the working environment. This will be emphasised in relation to evaluation. Whirled up snow from the snow cutter generator and the ejector nozzle is one of the main reasons for reduced visibility.
