Procurement — Two New Chassis for Existing Bodies, Årim, 2020

This notice is for the procurement of two new chassis from Scania. Ålesund Municipality c/o Årim needs to procure two new chassis that are suitable for existing bodies. The existing bodies have been mounted on Scania chassis. The contracting authority has had a dialogue with one of Norway's leading experts in building refuse collection vehicles and equipment, NTM, and has been made aware that it is not possible to move the bodies over to other types of chassis. The bodies are meant for Scandia and it is not possible to move the bodies to a different chassis as the framework width and height from the ground must be the same as the existing chassis. The driver's cabin, axel distance and the distance from the centre back axel to the back cupboard on the body must also be correct in order to have the correct weight distribution on the front and back axels.
