The Contracting Authority Aust-Agder fylkeskommune and Agder Kollektivtrafikk AS hereby invite tenderers to a contest on the delivery of passenger transport services, including normal student transport and individual facilitated school transport.
The Contracting Authority has option for including adapted transport (TT) to the contracts.
Ordered routes are not a part of the assignment when the contract is entered into, but may be relevant to implement during the contract period.
The geographical area is divided in three lots/transport areas as stated in the tender documentation. Each tenderer must state specifically which area the tender applies for and substantiate sufficient capacity for the transport subject to tendering Any conditions must be stated, as described in the tender documentation.
Pupils in primary and secondary schools and sixth form colleges have, in certain cases, the right to permanent or temporary transport between their homes and schools in accordance with the Education Act. This applies to pupils who either have a long journey to schools, a dangerous school journey or permanent/temporary disability/illness. The assignment includes school transport for pupils who cannot meet their transportation needs through the ordinary route network, and whose place of residence is along one of the routes. The contract also includes transport needs within the municipality between education sites.
In principle the assignment includes all students that reside along the route and entitled to transport. The municipality will however only have one right, but no obligation to utilise the agreement for the students for whom the municipality is responsible for their school transport.
