The assignment is for hand woven tapestry cushion covers. Else Poulsson's original design from 1950 will be recreated as close to the original as possible. The contracting authority will procure the actual art tapestry yarn that the tenderer must use. The yarn will come from Spinnerigården AS, Hoelfeld-Lund.
Rådhusets forvaltningstjeneste (RFT) is planning a contest for hand woven tapestry cushion covers.
Volume: 20 sitting cushions and 40 back cushions. RFT would like information from the market in order to prepare and hold the contest in the best possible way. The aim of the RFT is to familiarise ourselves with the market, new potential tenderers able to deliver high quality needlework in the traditional Norwegian tapestry technique. RFT would like tenderers (artists, art needleworkers, weavers) that are interested in such an assignment to send us a presentation of themselves.
