The government would like to strengthen the competence of employees within child welfare for work with children and families with a minority background. In this connection, Barne- og familiedepartementet (BFD) [the Ministry of Children and Family Affairs] has tasked Barne-, ungdoms og familiedirektoratet (Bufdir) [the Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs] with the development of a training offer for employees in the child welfare institutions, municipal child welfare services and state foster care services for work with children and families with minority backgrounds.
The training must be offered nationwide.
The offer must be developed in 2019 and implemented from and including 2020. Bufdir aims to recruit around 150 participants annually. The number of participants can be reduced or increased.
The contract has a maximum value of 5 000 000 NOK in 2019, and from and including 2020 an estimated annual value of 6 000 000 NOK for implementation with 150 participants.
The contract period runs from signing of the contract until and including termination.
