Bymiljøetaten [the Agency for Urban Environment] comes under Byrådsavdeling [the Department of Environment and Transport] and is responsible, amongst other things, for the planning, development and operation of parks, recreational areas and municipal roads and streets. Responsibility for environmental health protection (air, noise, water, soil), which is not of a medical nature, also lies with the contracting authority. The contracting authority will procure a professional grounds-keeper/contractor for the care and operation of Frognerparken [Frogner Park]. The contract includes operation and care of summer flowers, shrubs, lawns and trees, summer and winter operation of roads and spaces, operation of fountains and benches, and waste management.
