The contract the Square in Trondheim, referred to as Torvet, is the main part of the upgrading of the Square in Trondheim. The first part (construction stage 1) of the contract includes foundation works in the area from Prinsens gate and towards the Square. Construction stage 1 is now in progress and shall be completed by March 2018. This contract (construction stage 2) includes construction works in Kongens gate from Prinsens gate to Nordre gate, as well as some areas in Munkegata and the entire Square area. Inside these areas, new roads and pavements shall be established. The entire Square shall get a new surface and new fixed furnishing, as well as the renewal of the technical infrastructure by technical culverts, water, sewage, drainage, storm water and street heating systems, etc.
The stone work includes more than 10,000 m2 natural stones, using various types of stone.
