The procurement concerns a framework agreement for Fresenius 5008S machines. Østfold Hospital Trust intends to start home haemodialysis with five patients in 2018. Over a four year period an increase is planned to approximately 12 dialysis machines. This is an estimate only. Østfold Hospital currently has Fresenius 5008 dialysis machines. With home dialysis treatment, the patient is their own therapist. Therefore it is important that the patient feels safe and well taken care of by a good support apparatus when needing assistance with the therapy or with technical challenges. To achieve this, we see a need for the equipment used in the patient’s home to be equivalent to the equipment that doctors, nurses and engineers use and operate daily at the hospital. To be able to continue using the hospital’s dialysis database system with new machines, it is also necessary to select the same manufacturer that we have standardised at the hospital. The hospital’s medical engineers have good competence with the existing equipment and operate the machinery park in it’s entirety. It is a big advantage to have the manufacturer in order to use the same technical competence again. The appeals deadline is 25.2.2018, 23:49. In accordance with the public procurement Regulations § 25-2, the waiting period is 10 days calculated from the day after notification that the service provider has been selected.
