Aalto University School of Chemical Technology, Department of Biotechnology and Chemical Technology is conducting research on preparation and characterization of materials applied in catalysis. We seek a complete turn-key, stand-alone device capable for volumetric gas adsorption measurements with a special focus on porous materials used in catalysis. Volumetric gas adsorption device should be able to conduct nitrogen physisorption measurements on micro-, meso- and macroporous range. In addition, a chemisorption analysis is also required. Short summary of instrument The volumetric gas adsorption equipment should be able to perform N2 physisorption analysis (adsorption and desorption) and measure the specific surface area, pore volume and pore size distribution of catalytic materials. The measured catalytic materials have pores in micro- to macropore size range and pores in all these ranges need to be measured. Furthermore, the equipment must also include chemisorption analysis with carbon monoxide and hydrogen gases for determining metal distribution, metal dispersion and metal surface area of catalytic materials.
