Short description
Norwegian Nuclear Decommissioning has been given the task of clearing up after Norway's nuclear activities at Kjeller and in Halden. Decommissioning of the sites involves, amongst other things, that radioactive material is securely stored in a land fill. NND has started a process to develop land fill solutions for all classes of radioactive waste. The development is based on a concept where different types of land fill are combined in one site, which is called the National Site.
The Contracting Authority intends to enter into a framework agreement with one tenderer per sub-contract, within the following sub-areas:
1. Development of solutions for disposal of used fuel and other radioactive waste.
2. Development of a concept for the disposal of used fuel or other highly radioactive waste in a bore hole.
If the contracting authority enters into a contract with different tenderers for sub-contract 1 and sub-contract 2, the tenderers will inspect each others work in an independent review and verification.
