Grefsenveien Øvre is a cooperation project between Sporveien, the Agency for Urban Environment and the Agency for Water and Sewage in Oslo municipality. The project is included in the investment portfolio “Total plan for upgrading the tram infrastructure”, which shall prepare the city for new trams. The project is for a complete road and tramline upgrade from Storo to Disen, approx. 500 m. The aim is to increase accessibility for trams and to facilitate cyclists. In addition, the water and sewage network on the stretch is to be renewed and the capacity is to be improved. A new pipeline for water shall be laid, amongst other things, which will help to ensure sufficient water supply to the city in the future.
