In connection with project 104910 New Government Quarter, Statsbygg [the Directorate of Public Construction and Property], wants to implement qualification of participants that may be interested in submitting a tender offer for turnkey contract K901 Demolition.
The government has decided to construct a new government quarter. The development plan was adopted in February 2017. The plan means that the S-block, Y-block and R4 with Møllergata 17 shall be demolished and that the two large integrated works of art in the Y-block shall be kept, a decision on how they will be used will be made at a later date.
The S-block was demolished in 2014/2015 so that the work on a new Secure Technical Infrastructure (STI) can start in the new government quarter. Contract K901 Demolition includes the demolition of R4 with M17 and an option to demolish the Y-block. The contract also includes necessary securing of the construction pit and the disassembly and removal of the integrated works of art in the Y-block. The turnkey contractor must reckon on some of the tender being connected to competence for planning and carrying out the disassembly and removal of the integrated works of art.
