Technical reason 100 % 0 % According to the Directive 2014/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council, Article 32. 2, point b, the University of Copenhagen believes that this tool from F&S Bondtec is a modern desktop automatic wire bonder that fills the niche between a manual wire bonder and large scale fully automated production tools. It offers the flexibility of our current manual tool while at the same time being far easier to use, giving more consistent results and allowing the possibility of bonding substantially more complicated deviced. The closest comparable products are form Questar and Westbond, however, these tools are not considered viable alternatives. The Questar tool uses refurbished parts from a discontinued tool. The supply of spare parts may therefore limit the possibility of repair in the near future.
