Viken County is responsible for offering a transport service by boat and ferry to the Eastern Islands in Hvaler municipality. Hvaler municipality is responsible for the transport of goods and vehicles related to various municipal services on the islands. The current contract expires on 31 December 2023. Viken County and Hvaler municipality want to enter into a new and long-term operating agreement for the connection.
