National road 41 Timenes – Hamresanden

The contract includes the engineering design and construction of the first part of the approved zoning plan PlanID 1512 - Detailed zoning for Rv (National road) 41 and Rv (National road) 451 Timenes - Kjevik. The zoning area stretches from E18 (European road) at the exit to Barstølveien [the Barstøl road], via Timeneskrysset [the Timenes crossing] to Lauvåsenkrysset [the Lauvåsen crossing]. The deceleration lane on E18 shall be extended to some degree. This will result in an extension of the existing subpassage for the pedestrian and cycle path. The capacity of the roundabouts will be expanded. From Timenes to Lauvåsen a two-lane road, type H2, will be established with middle sections with railings. A pedestrian and cycle path shall also be subject to engineering designed and established from Timeneskrysset [the Timenes crossing] along Rv [National road] 41 all the way to Hamresanden. The last 500 m of the current road near Hamresanden shall also be moved towards the sea to make room for a pedestrian and cycle path on the inside.
