One of BR’s ambitions is to explore and responsibly harness the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence (AI). To ensure responsible use, and in view of BR’s duties as a public authority managing public information, sound governance of AI activities is essential. This includes robust procedures for ongoing assessments of risks, security, legislation and suppliers.
To support this work, BR wishes to procure an AI governance tool. In 2024, a proof of concept (PoC) was conducted with the Finnish supplier Saidot. The PoC demonstrated the benefits of an AI governance tool for the agency by bringing all assessments together in one place.
Much has changed since then. BR has procured a data and analytics platform from Google (Google Cloud Platform) and scaled up its AI activities. Various AI tools and opportunities are also being explored, creating a need for greater control and oversight.
The purpose of this market survey is to identify AI governance solutions available on the market and determine how they support BR’s needs.
