The purpose of the RFI
NRK is currently considering procurement of:
- A new PAM to be used by both post-production and news, considering the similarities and differences between them. A PAM solution that supports a holistic and collaborative approach, as well as sandboxing and access control to the different parts of our content.
- A simple and intuitive web-based editing solution that supports various formats (e.g., 16x9, 9x16, 1x1,) and workflows directly to the web, as well as linear broadcasting. The capability to edit growing files is a core functionality, and audio-only editing should also be supported.
The edit solution can be an integral part of the PAM or an integrated third- party application which provides optimal collaboration and seamless workflows. At the same time, the solution must be closely linked to playout to ensure minimal time from processing to broadcasting.
