NovaSeq X Sequencing System and Illumina DRAGEN Server v4
for Finnish Functional Genomics Centre (FFGC), FIRI project Biokeskus Suomi BTK FIRI2023
To continue the research services in cost-effective and efficient manner, FFGC must upgrade the existing Novaseq 6000 sequencer, purchased in 2019, to the newest instrument version Novaseq X. The new Novaseq X has higher sequencing capacity and on-instrument data processing with the newest sequencing technology available. Purchase of Novaseq X together with separate DRAGEN server enables further data processing and combining data from different runs and complements the on-instrument data processing. Together with Biocenter Finland infrastructure network, Turku Bioscience has applied funding in the Academy of Finland FIRI 2023 call to update the instrumentation.
