The contract includes the procurement of 60 acoustic release devices, including 60 spare-part for re-use and 1 deck unit. The acoustic release devices are used in connection with studies at the Institute of Marine Research where acoustic fish tagging shall be used for studying the salmon smolt's behaviour. The acoustic releaser units shall be used for submerging hydrophones (acoustic reception units) for makeing it easier to keep the equipment after the study is concluded and to avoid interruptions of activity on the sea surface.
The acoustic release devices, spare parts and a deck unit must be delivered to Tromsø, Norway, by 30.3.2018.
