The main goal of the programme is mapping and monitoring various diseases in game with a focus on deer. In addition the programme will contribute to clarifying the reason for disease in individuals, finds increased occurrences of disease or mortality in local stock, as well as continually work on problems connected to the transmission of infectious diseases. Such transmittable diseases can occur between the species or between pets and game, as well as from animals to humans.
