The contract is for works with the substructure and railway engineering on the stretch Hell — Værnes.

E2 — Preparatory signal and tele work.

Preparatory signal works comprise works in the existing safety installations that require competence in the Norwegian National Rail Administration's control system to carry out such works on installations in operation.

The works consist of:

1) Adaptation/alterations in existing safety installations in order to facilitate site works as well as the operation of trains through Hell station throughout the site period.

2) Disassembly/demolition of the existing safety installations after they have been taken out of use.

E6 — Substructure

The existing side platform at Hell station will be untouched, but will not be in use. It will lie along a part of the existing track 1, which, when finished, will be a butt track. A station park is to be established around the listed station building.

The existing middle platform and the accompanying level crossing shall be demolished.

New substructure for new railway tracks. A new footpath is to be established along the river in front of the pier on the Hell side of the river. A new access road to Værnes stop is to be constructed.

The existing culvert at Hell station shall be altered with the roof (the existing concrete sheet) being replaced by a new streel trough for the 3 railway tracks. A 125 m long noise reduction screen shall be moved along the track at Hell station on the north side of the railway. New lattice fences shall be constructed along the railway installations. Gates are to be established for access roads.

E6 — superstructure

3 new tracks shall be constructed over Hell. The Meråker railway is a continuation of track 1 towards the east, in addition 2 tracks (tracks 2 and 3) are to be constructed over the new double track bridge up to and including the middle platform at Værnes stop.

In addition 3 operational tracks, 290 m, 170 m and 50 m long respectively, are to be established out from track 1 on the Meråker railway.

A new side platform against track 1 with a platform length of 125 m is to be constructed. It is to be designed with a safety zone and waiting zone. The platform is to be constructed with a width of 3.75 m. A new access road/car park shall be completed in this contract. New shelter and furnishings for the platform at Hell.

The track geometry at Værnes stop is planned with a new middle platform with a platform length of 250 m and a width of 10 m.

E8 Electro and tele work

The works consist of:

— Conduits and foundations;

— Permanent conduits;

— Conduits for external installations;

— New electrotechnical building;

— Electricity supply;

— Points heaters;

— Lighting;

— Earthing;

— Tele;

— Customer information installations;

— Speaker installations.
