Short description
IVAR's post-sorting facility began operations in 2019. It included a line for sorting residual waste and a line for sorting source-separated paper waste, based on NIR technology.
In 2022, it suffered a major fire, in which the part of the building containing the processing plant for reception and sorting was completely destroyed.
It has been decided that the facility will be rebuilt in the same building.
The residual waste facility sorted out 5 types of plastic, metal and paper. Upon rebuilding, it is planned that the reception and sorting hall will be used for residual waste only, and more primary sorting is being considered. as of now, clarification of the localisation of post-sorting of source-sorted paper waste has not been finalised.
A consultant will be procured to assist IVAR IKS in carrying out the delivery of machines for the post-sorting facility.
