Learning and testing environments in the sport resort of the future -project

Learning and testing environments in the sport center of the future -project aims at making the investments in a competence center for physical testing and skills training that is to be built in the Lapland region, which will enable the development of the region's sports operating environments. Testing, exercise and well-being as well as skills coaching are emerging areas and are also internationally attractive. The current laboratory construction and investment package runs in parallel with the ESF-funded project "Skills4Life - Skills for Life", which is currently underway.

The project will upgrade existing sports and exercise infrastructure to meet the needs of the 2020s and the future. The thematic selection for skills coaching and expertise in the field is based on the national division of labor. The development also supports sports tourism in the region.

Behalf of the project Lapland University of Applied Sciences is looking for sensor technology which has to detect a person's presense and follow what they are looking at in real-time (Eye tracking device). The technology has to decode eye movements and translates them into insights that can be used in a wide range of applications or as an additional input modality.
