Short description
As the responsible professional authority in providing interpretation services for the public sector, IMDi [the directorate of integration and diversity] requests an assessment of the authorisation scheme for interpreters. The assessment must consider to what degree the scheme meets its purpose. It must assess the degree to which the scheme has high interpreting quality, meets society's need for highly qualified interpreters and meets interpreters' expectations for qualification opportunities.
The objective of the assessment is to provide a knowledge-based development of the scheme.
The assessment must result in proposals on how the scheme can be organised more predictably, cost-effectively, and appropriately, in accordance with expectations among interpreters and the society in general and accordance with the digital development and requirements. The assessment must also contribute to the authorisation scheme for interpreters is complying with the society's expectations of highly qualified interpreters when the Interpretation Act applies.
